Role Overview:
As a Key Account Manager (KAM) within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team the incumbent will operate within Team Leidos (Leidos Europe Ltd) and the Logistics Mission Support Division of Leidos UK.
The CRM team is responsible for managing customer engagement and communications with the MOD for the Logistics Commodities and Services Transformation programme (LCST).
The KAM team manage the detailed capture and development of new requirements from the MOD's Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation; specifically, in relation to inventory capabilities not procured by Team Leidos.

The KAM team also provide an MOD Logistics SME focal point for the customer's interaction with Team Leidos personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships within the DE&S Integrated Logistics community: Platform Delivery Teams, Operational Delivery Function and approved DE&S CLS partners
- Proactively engage with the DE&S customer to identify new LCST requirements, particularly within the Storage, Distribution & Freight (SD&F) environment
- Assist the customer to build new SD&F requirements using the Request for Change (RCF) document by advising on specific LCST processes
- Oversee the scoping of RCFs with SD&F Plans/Ops and other LCST business areas by facilitating the interface with the customer to confirm implementation needs
- Troubleshoot issues relating to change requirement processing in order to successfully implement the Team Leidos service
- Provide advice as required to the pan-Domain customer-base and act as the SME for MOD logistics processes and operations for internal Team Leidos interactions and business processes
- Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement within the RCF process
- Identify and report LCST on-contract growth opportunities to Business Development
- Establish close and trusted relationships with areas of the MOD - specifically DE&S and Front Line Command (FLC) customers, demonstrating a commitment to making them successful
- Provide a trusted and agile point of contact within Team Leidos to provide advice and guidance in order to resolve issues across the programme
- Provide SME support for internal Team Leidos employees that may not have experience of Defence ways of working
- Provide SME advice to support the understanding and development of the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) within Team Leidos and link into LCST operational delivery requirements where appropriate
- Support the CRM activities as a whole as the MOD develops and changes its operational delivery
Skills Required:
- Demonstratable deep background in Defence Logistics
- Experienced understanding of Defence operational activity, specifically Operational Logistics and Logistics Planning within a unit and higher level formation
- Experienced understanding of Defence Supply Chain activity - with an emphasis on Maritime Operational Logistics
- Experience and understanding of operating Defence Logistics Information Systems (notably, BIWMS, MJDI, SS3 and VITAL)
- Extensive working knowledge and experience of Defence Logistics Policy
- UK driving license and prepared to travel to customer and MOD Depot locations within the UK
- Strong inter-personal and relationship skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
Skills Desired:
- Batchelors Degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management, or suitable higher level management qualification
- Problem solving skills and ability to capture, analyse and communicate data.
- MS Office skills
- Experience of using Warehouse Management Systems
- Understanding of UK MOD Maritime Supply Chain organisation, from Industry, through DE&S to HMNBs and units
- Experience of UK CSG Operations
- Experience of Deployed FLS Operations, DSCOM interaction and UK MOD Maritime sustainability at reach
