Leidos' Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist in Vista, CA to join our team. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.

Leidos is looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to support our company's warehouse operations. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and perform various warehouse activities. The position is responsible for executing our field returns process and material review process for non-conforming material.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for processing all incoming defective material from the field.
  • Receive field returns and determine if new, unused, or defective.
  • Assist Receiving with unloading of trucks and moving to designated area.
  • Process damaged inventory and expired inventory into the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Run Monthly inventory reports for expiration dates of shelf-life items.
  • Ensure transactions into the ERP system are accurate.
  • Systemically receive Defective Material and move to a HOLD location for review.
  • Collaborate with Quality department to process Non-Conforming Material from the production floor and customer returns.
  • Attend MRB weekly meetings and ensure disposition decisions are executed.
  • Communicate with Finance department when parts need to be dispositioned/scrapped.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing to ensure defective material is issued to rework Manufacturing Orders (MO).
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing or research and development (R&D)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
  • Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar warehouse operations position
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Enterprise Resource Planning and/or warehouse management system) for entering data
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Excellent math and recording abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs.
  • Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
  • Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ERP programs would be a distinct advantage.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $38,350.00 - $69,325.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
