Description

The Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) Officer (IO) to lead, direct, and oversee the integration of Information Forces (IRCs) into strategic, operational planning, and mission execution. Advise command staff, manage IO strategy development, and ensure alignment with operational objectives and policy directives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide command-level leadership for IO planning and execution.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to commanders on integrating Information Forces (IRCs) into strategic, operational, and tactical operations.
  • Lead planning and synchronization of capabilities such as SAP/STO, Civil Affairs, Public Affairs, MISO, EW, MILDEC, OPSEC, and Cyber.
  • Oversee development and implementation of OIE campaign plans, assessment frameworks, and policy recommendations.
  • Engage senior leadership, interagency counterparts, and international partners on OIE coordination and guidance.
  • Recommend adjustments to command structures, force design, or policy to enhance OIE effectiveness.
  • Supervise and mentor OIE staff across multiple commands and task forces.
  • Represent OIE equities in joint planning groups, command-level briefings, and interagency forums.
  • Maintain awareness of current technologies and best practices across OIE.

Basic Qualifications

  • Commissioned officer, Senior NCO, or senior civilian with equivalent rank/responsibility and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in IO planning at the Joint or Combatant Command level.
  • FA30 qualification or 14F (Airforce Information Operations Officer) or 0510/0520/0530 (MAGTF IO Officer and Planner series) or equivalent military specialty with demonstrated operational IO leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of JOPP, campaign planning, and joint doctrine.
  • U.S. Citizen with a current passport.

Clearance

  • Must currently possess a minimum TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Military Art, Strategic Studies, or related field.
  • Graduate of JIOPC, Joint Cyber Ops Planner Course, or MILDEC Planner Course.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or interagency teams in a high-tempo environment.
  • Familiarity with classified systems, policy development, and strategic communication.
  • Operational leadership experience with OPSEC, MILDEC, Information Force missions.
  • Operational experience supporting the CENTCOM AOR is preferred. Experience in INDOPACOM or AFRICOM is also acceptable.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
