Leidos' Health Solutions Organization is currently seeking an Implementation Engagement Lead in support of the Department of Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM). This highly visible program is designed to deploy, operate, and sustain a new electronic health record to the military health system. While every healthcare system is addressing quality, user experience and cost, the MHS GENESIS program has the added challenge of delivering these objectives within the DOD security environment, at the DOD's global scale, all while supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)'s vision of a medically ready force ─ which is essential to our national defense.

The Implementation Engagement Lead is a critical member of our delivery team, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, leading on-site teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes, managing implementations of Leidos solutions at customer sites. The role provides hands-on project planning and management expertise to ensure site implementation goals and objectives are achieved, functional requirements are satisfied, communicating change, as well as mitigating risks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and support technical and functional teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Utilize expert domain knowledge, professional principles, and theories to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions and standards for implementations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned implementations and point of contact for our government customer. Shall provide overall leadership and guidance for all Leidos and its partner personnel assigned to the assigned area.
  • Directly provide assigned implementation status reporting and coordinate with Leidos management as needed.
  • Accountable for developing costs for and management of assigned implementation task orders and proposals.
  • Accountability to deliver assigned implementation efforts at or under costs, providing a "best possible implementation" to customers and resolving barriers, challenges and execution events as we proceed.
  • Work closely with the Implementation Business Director Lead to define the Control Account (CA) work scope, schedule and budget.
  • Duties include regularly engaging with all levels of Customer leadership and staff. Interaction with senior leadership from Defense Health Services, Military Health Services and other key stakeholders.
  • Key contributor to implementation plan development and support added capabilities to MHS GENESIS baseline, providing oversight, project discipline, execution coaching and customer communications, senior leadership briefings and a wide array of RFP, Task Order, Planning, Risk Management and other project control/performance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline and 12+ years prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 10+years of prior relevant experience
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance. Contract requirement
  • Experience as a Project or Program Manager with ability to communicate with Senior Executive Leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization/project
  • Experience and knowledge of healthcare financial operations including Revenue Cycle
  • A proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects (10+ years), with a primary focus on healthcare technology implementations
  • Experience with monthly schedule status processes
  • Capable of working independently as well as within a team
  • Experience with risk management
  • Possess a current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Demonstrated research, analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as displayed by past performance and successful execution of complex, visible and fast-paced programs.
  • Ability to work on complex environments and governances

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large scale Health IT deployment projects:
  • Deployment of a large-scale commercial EHR, training, change management, clinical engagement.
  • Understanding of DOD Military Health System operations, practices, organization and culture.
  • Comprehensive experience with government contract administration, CDRL processes expectations of quality and compliance with necessary detail.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS including Breakdown Structure (WBS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), work authorizations, Estimate To Complete (ETC), Estimate At Complete (EAC), and root cause variance analysis.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
