Description

We have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Full Stack Developer to provide Agile Development support for Health & Civil Sector innovation solutions. As a full stack developer in our organization, you will have the opportunity to build innovative cloud-hosted solutions using state of the art technology. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation and testing of tools and applications. Based in a DevOps framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.

Position requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency Status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Angular.
  • Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit, Selenium, or other comparable tools.
  • Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies.
  • Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services.
  • Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases.
  • Analyze (through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs.
  • Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Agile practices.
  • Use industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting.
  • Document and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments.
  • Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
  • Leverage Atlassian tool suite like Jira and Confluence to track activities.
  • Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 or more years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing web applications and web services including frontend and backend functionality.
  • In-depth use and experience with Java, Angular, Spring, and Javascript.
  • In-depth experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices.
  • Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo.
  • In-depth experience with development in AWS leveraging cloud services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Well versed with using version control systems.
  • Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems.

  • Must be self-driven and be able to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to take rough ideas and concepts, collaborate with the team to refine them, and implement features and functionality to achieve outcomes.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
