Flight Test and Evaluation Engineer

Leidos currently has an opening for an Test and Evaluation Engineer to work at in Chantilly, VA. The candidate will be responsible for the planning and conduct of program test and evaluation activities at multiple government and contractor sites and USG test range facilities. A successful candidate's insight will be the basis for input and advice to the customer Chief Engineer and Program Director and will have significant impacts to enterprise system implementation strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate of day-to-day efforts between multiple stakeholders working at different geographic locations. Maintain strong relationship with multiple test organizations - integrating Contractor Test (CT), Developmental Test (DT) and Operational Test (OT)
  • Provide customer leadership with technical advice/input that directly impacts customer strategic goals
  • Write and/or review test plans, accomplish test data/product analysis, oversee requirement verification activities, and write and/or review final test reports
  • Develop and maintain program testing master plans
  • Coordinate and execute test range activities for system and subsystem testing
  • Develop, coordinate, and/or evaluate Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts

Required Experience

  • BS in an engineering discipline or a related field and 12 years of relevant experience, or MS in in an engineering discipline or a related field with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with Special Access Program and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information activities
  • Experience with Flight Test and test range operations
  • Strong Electronic Warfare experience
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently possess an active TS/SCI and be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph. Candidates who do not currently possess a TS/SCI clearance will not be considered.

Desired Experience:

  • Test Pilot School graduate
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • DAWIA or equivalent certification in Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and/or Program Management

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
