The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician to work at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) facility located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the DEVCOM CBC mission. In this mission we support DEVCOM CBC in basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to support the U.S. Warfighter and ensure our Warfighters maintain battlefield dominance during a chemical and/or biological weapon event.
Primary Responsibilities. Responsibilities include diagnosis, engineering and construction, design, maintenance, calibration, computer maintenance and software installation related to laboratory test systems and support sub-systems. Required to research, order and install repair parts when necessary to keep systems operational. Work independently or with Principal Investigators to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deadlines. Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solutions. Develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. Communicate with internal and client project team members when appropriate.

Basic Qualifications. BS degree in technical field with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or master's degree with 2-6 years relevant experience. In lieu of degree, 10 or more years prior relevant experience is required; Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance; Candidate must have demonstrated experience and be well versed in safe usage of hand and power tools, multimeters, current meters, and soldering tools.
Preferred Qualifications. Prior experience working with and installing National Instrument's hardware and LabView Software, Agilent's ChemStation software and data acquisition systems; Prior experience working with Toxic Industrial Chemicals and/or Toxic Industrial Materials; Experience maintaining and operating Low and High Flow Test Systems to include startup and shutdown procedures. Prior experience troubleshooting equipment utilizing technical reference material and technical drawings.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
