The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a dynamic Field Engineer to provide availability planning and installation support for combat systems modernization of AN/SQQ-89(V) systems. Responsibilities - What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform shipboard drawing validation to confirm accuracy
  • Perform desktop reviews of planning yard approved drawings to determine accuracy
  • Designs installation plans for AN/SQQ-89
  • Support design meetings for new hardware systems and support the development of Installation Control Drawings
  • Evaluate installation material requirements
  • Support quick turn evaluation of added installation scope
  • Monitor tasking and overall schedule of all task elements
  • Ensure Quality Assurance objectives are achieved for all delivered products
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that will standardize technical support and service provided
  • Recommend innovative ideas in customer focus areas

Required Experience, Skills, and Education - To Land This Gig You'll Need:

  • BS Degree and a minimum of 4+ years' experience in installation planning, execution, and leadership. Four years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Expert understanding of installation practices, NAVSEA standard items, and safety requirements
  • Excellent written communication and grammatical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Clearance required: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to travel approximately 1 week per month

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education - Favorable if you have:

  • Experience with combat systems and their lifecycle support
  • Prior experience with developing products for DoD programs

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
