Our Digital Modernization sector needs a results-oriented Enterprise Architect to support the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center's (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division at Fort Meade, MD.
This isn't just any job. The SE&I Division serves as the hub for systems engineering and enterprise architecture, and as the technical authority for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications within the Department of Defense. Our customer, led by the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), applies subject matter expertise and best practices to translate mission and operational requirements into solutions and operational capabilities. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, government product and process owners, and stakeholders to ensure that the engineering, architecture and/or Configuration Management artifacts are produced as required by our government customer.

What will you do in this role?
Work as a contributing member of the NEC team supporting the modification, upgrade, evolution, and modernization of existing Nuclear C3 systems.
Develop and maintain architecture products, such as system and operational views describing the Nuclear C3 system-of-systems.
Produce and publish baseline and incremental NC3 system-of-systems architecture products.
Advise the government with recommendations to enhance the NC3 system-of-systems and associated NC3 capabilities.
Work alongside other Architects with NC3 Enterprise engineering subject matter expertise to support data-driven enterprise decision making.
Incorporate architecture artifacts into presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) designed to support senior leader decision making.
To Qualify, you need:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years or Associate Degree and 7 years or Master's Degree and 3 years or High School Diploma/GED and 9 years' relevant experience.
You Must also possess one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or educational equivalent. Educational equivalents include: Associate Degree, Master's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with stated additional required years of relevant experience.
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification.
- DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) certification.
Overall experience should include at least five (5) years of experience in all of the following:
- Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management (TAFIM) compliance.
- Digital Mission Engineering Environment or Model-Based Systems Engineering..
- Systems modeling language (SysML)
- Developing architecture artifacts per industry standards.
These qualifications are preferred:
- Understanding of, and/or experience, with operations and technical characteristics of military satellite and terrestrial communications systems.
- Experience conducting architecture/performance trade-off analysis, and engineering design of a system-of-systems.
- Experience working with senior Nuclear C3 community stakeholders such as NEC, USSTRATCOM, the Joint Staff, and OSD.
- Knowledge of activity, data, and process modeling techniques, to include hands on experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) development modeling tools, such as Cameo and/or SparxEA.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
