As an essential part of our dynamic team developing advanced electrical system designs. You will analyze, design and integrate solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.

You will primarily be focused on electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground based force protection system, but there are also opportunities to participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.

Responsibilities include:

  • High speed and mixed signal schematic design and simulation.
  • System level electrical design including cable design specification and cable drawings
  • Parts selection and derating activities
  • New PCB hardware design verification testing
  • Support system level integration activities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of applicable engineering work experience or 6+ years with MS degree.
  • Working knowledge of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics, components, and interface/communication standards
  • Experience in board level schematic design, new board bring up, design verification, debug and test
  • Capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
  • Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Component derating experience
  • System level integration and test experience
  • Cable design experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
