The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to work HIBERNATE and support its $4.6B single award DHMSM IDIQ contract, known as MHS GENESIS. This highly visible program provides modernization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense, supporting nearly 10 million service members and their families worldwide. While every healthcare system is addressing quality, user experience and cost, the MHS GENESIS program has the added challenge of delivering these objectives within the DOD security environment, at the DOD's global scale, all while supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)'s vision of a medically ready force ─ which is essential to our national defense.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Digital Engineering Lead will lead and define digital and MBSE solutions for new or active projects and ensure adherence to standards and best practices. Provide leadership to design, development, integration, and sustainment (break/fix) support for systems and associated interfaces in pre- and post-deployment phases. Leadership support to technical activities to stabilize system operation and ensure suitable system performance may also be required. Selected candidate will leverage innovation and modeling skills and experience, providing guidance and mentoring more junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt and lead change courageously.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Build and expand Digital Engineering Group with innovation ideas and tools to improve the efficiency
- Lead the implementation and integration of Digital Engineering and MBSE practices across multidisciplinary teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), particularly in using Cameo Systems Modeler, to ensure efficient and effective application.
- Ensuring that new technology is properly implemented in accordance with project guidelines
- Develop, validate and review system models using Cameo
- Creating detailed designs of technology solutions based on customer requirements
- Conducting feasibility studies regarding new technologies and their applications
- Maintaining and updating documentation related to the project including procedures, protocols, and specifications
- Presenting/defending designs to senior leadership and executive level
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS
- BS Degree and 10-15 years of relevant technical architecture experience.
- US Citizen with ability to obtain ADP2/IT2 Public Trust. Federal Government requirement.
- Past Digital Engineer / Cameo hands on experiences
- Deep understanding of MBSE methodologies, standards and frameworks
- Broad technical knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Cloud, infrastructure, Data, database, or other related areas
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully interact with internal and external team members, including executive leadership, as well as technology and solutions resources at a variety of levels, as well as the ability to express complex technical concepts into business terms.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
- EHR system architecture and implementation experience
- Experience with large, complex government implementations
- Familiarity with DOD communications/customs/processes
- Cybersecurity implementations
- Identity and access management
- Familiar with HL7 messages and integration engine is a big plus
- Familiar with Cerner Healthcare Products

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
