Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a System Administrator to work at a client site in McLean, Virginia. In this exciting opportunity you will apply your expertise in system administration and utilize your software programming skills, including Python.

In this role you will:
- Operate, maintain, and administer existing network and systems architectures. Networks includes hardware, software, physical cabling, and IP address management. Systems include virtualization environment, servers, authentication services and policies, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
- Provide operation and maintenance to include but not be limited to release management, upgrades, patches, change packages (enhancement / fixes), and problem reports.
- Monitor, maintain and report on network and systems performance.
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting and root cause analysis and benchmarking in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide Network administration services to include but not limited to firewall management, tool management, Web Proxy services; and system administration to include create and maintain network and systems diagrams and administration documentation (SOPs); perform scheduled preventive maintenance of all hardware and software.
- Support enterprise firewall management, application and automation engineering, incident management/governance risk compliance engineering, and enterprise packet capture management engineering.
- Perform Security Infrastructure - Application Engineer and Automation Development Responsibilities, including:
- Provide Python programming and application development technical abilities.
- Create, test and field applications which improve efficiencies.
- Improve productivity through effective application and replication of successful automation and control solutions.
- Integrate automations solutions with Ansible and Cisco NSO.
- Deliver, monitor, and support production applications.
- Serve in a technical advisory role in implementation and architecture design.
- Assist in threat detection activities across teams.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working on the client's classified systems as a System Administrator.
- Experience developing solutions integrating and extending COTS products.
- Experience explaining policies, processes, procedures, and technical information clearly and accurately verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical workforce.
- Experience following through assigned tasks with attention to detail.
- Experience conducting computer related training.
- Intermediate to expert experience with software programming utilizing Python.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
