Job Summary:

Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening in our Unified Capabilities NOC for a Defense Red Switch Network Subject Matter Expert at Scott AFB, IL.

  • Execute network operations to include configuration and analysis of circuits across Layer 2/3 Routing/switching and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) trunks.
  • Develop training scenarios and documentation to build expertise among team.
  • Document and enforce processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate system network requirements and make appropriate technical recommendations to local leadership/engineers.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers, UC stakeholders, and engineering groups to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
  • Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
  • Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
  • Assess, identify, and recommend resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, firewalls, switches, crypto devices, Active Directory, SolarWinds, Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN).
  • Other job requirements as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, call routing, session-initiated protocol (SIP), media call flow, packet capture analysis, Juniper IP technologies, Session Boarder Controllers (SBC), Juniper MX5 routers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches.
  • Expertise in IP technologies, i.e. Networking architectures, methodologies, and Voice Services.
  • Advanced understanding of IP principles.
  • Proficiency with SNMP, DNS, and NTP protocols.
  • General knowledge of TLS and PKI.
  • Proficiency with Juniper networking devices.
  • Currently possess an active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Requires BS and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
