Leidos is seeking a Data Process Specialist to join the National Security Sector's Software Center to work with a small agile team, to help define and promote Software culture within NSS. As part of the National Security Software Center's initiatives to improve program health and professional development, we are seeking a full-time hire to support the implementation and ongoing success of new tools, processes and policies across the sector, including the roll out of a sector wide Resource Management System (RMS).
This role will work with the SWC Resource Management Lead and SWC Process Engineer Lead to support Data collection, migration and data analysis across software programs, which includes identifying and implementing enhancements to the application, and business processes to help drive early adoption of the application. An ideal candidate should have experience working with Line managers and software professionals, as well as an understanding of current Leidos program management processes.

Additionally, this role will support collection, processing and evaluation of data, as well as the data curation to ensure integrity, accessibility and usability over time. An ideal candidate should have experience working with large data sets, experience with data analysis and migration.
The ideal candidate will combine experience with project management, data integration, stakeholder engagement, and user feedback, as well as a passion for pushing through red tape and thinking outside of the box, to move the needle on exciting and impactful initiatives.
Note: Although this role is remote, ability to commute to the GHQ in Reston, Virginia on occasion is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collecting, organizing, and maintaining data throughout its lifecycle; this includes knowledge of data quality, governance, storage, and retrieval.
- Oversee the migration of large volumes of data from Excel spreadsheets to the RMS, providing troubleshooting and timely resolution of data migration issues.
- Analyze, clean, and transform data from legacy systems to new data environments, ensuring a smooth migration.
- Implement standardized data formats and templates for consistent data entry across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and ensure smooth integration into the RMS.
- Conduct quality checks on migrated data to verify its accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Creating graphical representations of information using programming languages and business intelligence software.
- Leveraging advanced methodologies to develop intelligent systems that analyze data, learn from patterns, predict outcomes, and make informed decisions autonomously.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements for migration and integration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of data migration tools and platforms (e.g., Talend, Informatica, AWS, Azure, SQL, etc.).
- High degree of resourcefulness with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Experience with data science techniques including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight etc.).
- Technical proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Power Query) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data cleaning, data transformation, and data integration processes.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure the success of the system roll-out.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
- US citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across organizational functions
- Certification in data management, data migration, or data science.
- Familiarity with Agile project management practices.
- Strong understanding of Leidos tools, applications, and stakeholders (finance, HR, line program managers, CIO).
- Experience working with LLMs and AI

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
