The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Data and Information Systems Lead to work onsite in Doral, Florida and have the opportunity to oversee data and information systems implementation, automation, and the support of enterprise services for IT and Cyber Services programs supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract. requires a deep understanding of storage technologies, data interface specifications, methodologies, automation tools, enterprise service management, and IT infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of data and information management technologies in alignment with USSOUTHCOM's mission objectives.
- Develop and manage infrastructure to support seamless deployment and lifecycle management of IT and cyber services across USSOUTHCOM's AOR.
- Manage and maintain enterprise services associated with data storage and data sharing across the SOUTHCOM enterprise.
- Oversee the implementation of data storage and data bus technologies to enable data security and data sharing capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure the integration of automation processes promoting efficiency and security.
- Drive continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives by identifying opportunities for increased automation and developing solutions that enhance service resilience and security.
- Coordinate with program management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure that data and information service activities align with USSOUTHCOM's strategic, operational, and tactical goals.
- Monitor and maintain system performance using automated tools to provide proactive identification and resolution of issues, ensuring mission readiness and operational effi ciency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years experience in network/system administration, data management, storage engineering, or other related work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data management and storage system administration
- Must currently hold and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ or Equivalent IAT Level II/III Certification * Proven ability to design and maintain automated infrastructure in mission-critical environments, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
- Experience with configuration management tools and maintaining automated systems that align with cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with managing system transition processes, integrating new services into existing environments using automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Experience in a DoD or government environment, particularly supporting combatant commands or similar defense organizations.
- Knowledge of USSOUTHCOM's mission, operational objectives, and command structure.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
