We are in search of a Data Analytics Lead (Task Manager) to join our program team supporting the Federal Administration for Children & Families (ACF) Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) located in Washington, DC. You will play a valuable part in supporting and executing a wide range of projects assisting the OCSS team provide top-shelf products to our customer and their customers. The successful candidate will perform IT application analysis as well as IT application development. In addition, they will also perform functional and business requirements analysis. The person in this role will also have a small team reporting to them.

**Primarily remote/telework but will need to join team meetings at customer locations in the Maryland/District of Columbia/Virginia area.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data analytics team to ensure efficient and reliable operations and that all issues are resolved.
  • Perform data-driven decision-making to contribute to business strategy, drive innovation, and assess and mitigate risks.
  • Develop guidelines and policies for data collection, storage, and processing to ensure consistency and reliability of data.
  • Evaluate and recommend advanced data analytics tools and technologies.
  • Ensure software tools used by the data analytics team are up-to-date, effective, and efficient.
  • Regularly monitor and measure data analytics performance with a focus on minimizing job runtimes and cost.
  • Perform data audits to ensure data accuracy and improve data quality.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges by analyzing data trends.
  • Ensure data privacy and security using industry best practices.
  • Implement automated processes to monitor the data analytics system including data quality.
  • Provide direction and set clear goals and objectives for the team.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities based on team members' skills and strengths
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues and incidents promptly.
  • Document root cause analysis and track incidents to identify recurring problems.
  • Ensure appropriate Change Management processes/procedures and documentation are followed.
  • Interface with external partners and assist them with testing and resolution of production issues.

Basic Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8-12 years of professional experience, or 6-10 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Must have experience designing, developing, implementing, administering, and leading Data Analytics projects.
  • Must have strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, networking, and storage.
  • Must have experience with Python and/or PySpark best practices, code quality, and debugging techniques.
  • Knowledge of RDMS databases (e.g., PostgreSQL Server, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting to streamline workflows.
  • Experience with building customer relationships to prioritize and analyze system issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Requirements analysis and application analysis and design skills.
  • Familiarity with standard lifecycle processes and tools and working within a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience with Software Engineering (IEEE) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) standards.
  • Knowledge or experience with Full Development Lifecycle (FDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, Athena, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3.
  • Experience with Amazon QuickSight and other data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, data modeling and modeling tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools to manage iterative development processes
  • Ability to define and track key performance indicators to ensure project success and team productivity
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud platform

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
