Location: Suitland, MD (National Maritime Intelligence Center)

Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance

Leidos is seeking a dynamic Security Engineer to work onsite at the National Maritime Intelligence Center. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on national security while advancing your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and integrate security requirements into IT systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, ethical hacking, and penetration testing.
  • Analyze IT systems for threats and provide remediation recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver training on cyber tools and processes.
  • Research and evaluate Cybersecurity tools and methodologies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience, certifications or trainings may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active IAT or IAM Level III DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g. CISSP-ISSEP or CASP certification) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Experience with DIACAP/DoD RMF, DCID 6/3, ICD-503, NIST 800-53, and/or RMF.
  • Proficiency in hardening modern operating systems and implementing security engineering best practices.
  • Some scripting experience is a plus.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software development experience in Java, C, C++, or other programming languages.
  • Systems Engineering and Network Administration.
  • Project Management experience.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
