Leidos is seeking candidates for a full-time position as In-Kingdom Communications Specialist for a U.S. Foreign Military Sales program in support of a Saudi Ministry of Defense end user. The In-Kingdom Communications Specialist is responsible for daily operations communications systems support in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

What's in it for you?

This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting and maintaining the communications infrastructure and network systems critical for effective communications for Royal Saudi Naval Forces. This is a one year overseas assignment with option to renew. We are looking for an energetic team-oriented communications specialist that can inspire Leidos personnel to "make smart smarter" while maintaining trusted professional relationships with employees, partners, customers and vendors in a highly diverse, multi-national setting.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Provides on-site consultation oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configurations and new system initiatives for all sites within area of responsibility.
  • Advises on technical requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations.
  • Provides guidance for the handling, installation and utilization of various systems and equipment.
  • Duties also may include: assisting in the development and ensuring adherence to area-wide procedural/policy changes.
  • Work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
  • Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
  • Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
  • Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
  • Communicates with internal and client project team members.
  • Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
  • Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Science or a related field of study from an accredited college or university and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Three+ (3) years of experience supporting C4I systems such as NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, or ADSI.
  • Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or USG facilities).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US SECRET security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three+ (3) years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.
  • Experience interacting with U S G a n d foreign senior military/government officials.
  • Completion of DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.
  • DISAM International Affairs Certification Level 1 or above.
  • Experience working in austere locations (e.g., Middle Eastern nations) in security cooperation/assistance efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or USG

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
