The Leidos Health IT Division has an opening for a Client Engagement Senior Director (CED) located in the Baltimore metro area.

The CED will report to the Vice President, Health IT Division. This position will provide multi-faceted operational, business growth and strategic development support to the Health IT Division. This candidate will have the proven ability to operate a business with multiple service offerings, a track record of building and sustaining a culture of operational excellence, and a proven ability to execute to an annual operating plan.

The CED is responsible for strengthening and advancing trusted relationships with the Social Security Administration (SSA), U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Health & Human Services (HHS) and the Veterans Administration (VA). The CED must have extensive career experience and recognized credentials supporting Federal Government Health IT related missions and operations, a vibrant and sustained network and strong team and relationship building skills.

The candidate must have a fully developed understanding of current and evolving Federal Government Health IT programs, and be fully knowledgeable of the associated doctrine, strategies, operational concepts, and requirements. The candidate must be familiar with the SSA or CMS C-Suite and Senior leadership and be able to exchange information and ideas with influencers and decision makers supporting strategy, plans and programs.

Position Description

The Client Engagement Director will provide multi-faceted operational, business growth and strategic development support to the Health IT Division. This candidate will have the proven ability to operate a business with multiple service offerings, a track record of building and sustaining a culture of operational and business development excellence, and a proven ability to execute to an annual operating plan.

The candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide direction and leadership on the organization's strategy to action plans, and assist the Division in hitting key milestones to accomplish goals and impact growth. Identifying, qualifying, and supporting capture and closure on Health business opportunities; facilitating mission needs identification. Marketing the full range of corporate capabilities. Active contributor to all Health IT proposal efforts. Provide tactical direction and leadership on the organizations go-to market strategy for modernization and growth Perform market research to include customer preferences, competitive analysis and incumbent strengths and weaknesses. Provide operational and delivery direction approximately 15-20% on Health IT Programs. Develop and maintain customer intimacy with mid and senior level leaders across all Federal and Civilian Leidos leadership Act as a subject matter expert in the community with a demonstrated ability to discuss and explain differentiated capabilities in Leidos programs, plans and positions on key areas related to Health IT enterprise-managed information technology programs. Develop and strengthen a trusted relationship with the customer while serving as the primary Leidos senior representative to the customer. Interacts routinely with all levels of Division, Operation and Group management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasking Maintain a collaborative environment with key stakeholders(s). Perform special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 15+ years extensive professional knowledge with progressive leadership experience. MBA preferred. 5+ years' experience working at or contracting with either SSA, CMS, HHS, or VA. Relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Federal Health IT communities. Knowledge and experience in managing multiple contract types (CPFF, FFP, FPLOE, T&M, etc.). Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business over multiple years. Demonstrated experience to effectively engage a diverse workforce of employees and subcontractors for effective and optimized resource utilization. Prior experience of collaboration efforts outside the organization. Proven ability to positively influence change at different levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and foster the organizational high potential talent to achieve career growth opportunities at higher levels in the organization. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with supporting functions and other delivery organizations for win / win results. Highly effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree preferred in business administration or within health related field. Experience directing a distributed team, managing multiple customers, programs, and projects as one collective business. Knowledge of innovative industry business models and corresponding "go to market" solutions to aid in further growing the Leidos business across Federal Health IT programs. Knowledge, experience, and awareness of industry best practices in program and project management, CMMI, ITIL, agile software development, IT architectures, and other areas relevant to high maturity planning and execution. Experience with breaking into new accounts / customers through effective capture tactics. Local travel is expected as there are multiple office locations included in this organization.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
