Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. This position directly supports programs which provide a broad array of information, resources, referrals, mental health coaching and specialized support for military members and their families worldwide. These programs are directly responsible for supporting military community quality of life issues.

The Business Analyst is responsible for managing and controlling the asset management, requirements, and configuration documentation of software, hardware, systems, and other components across the Enterprise. Maintains version control of a comprehensive configuration management plan that outlines the procedures, processes, workflow and tools to be used for managing configurations. Documents and tracks different versions or iterations of software code, documents, configurations, and other artifacts to prevent conflicts and ensure accurate historical records. Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of configuration items, including specifications, design documents, user manuals, and technical documentation. Identifies and defines configuration items (CIs) or components that require management, ensuring that each CI is uniquely identified and tracked. Responsible for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets and documentation in SharePoint. Works alongside stakeholders, internal and external, to promote and optimize the usage of contract knowledge assets and documentation. Responsible for communication, promoting collaboration and workplace harmony. Manages and controls SharePoint access and access levels and internal controls. Responsible for creating and managing a disaster recovery plan and solution (i.e., RTO). This position is a remote position and requires a quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of business process related solutions for the Customer.
  • Responsible for defining customer needs, determining a strategy and developing a plan for delivery of a project which generally supports a client's internal process or function being modified for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Duties may include participating in requirements planning, conducting analyses of business processes, implementing process improvements, and performing cost/benefit analyses.
  • Technical responsibilities may include problem identification, system architecture definition, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
  • Responsible for entire projects or processes developed to support the program mission.
  • May be responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
  • Develops solutions to problems and issues that are unclear and require thorough analyses and understanding of domain knowledge.
  • Communicates with internal and project team members.
  • Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting a government IT organization.
  • Has full understanding of concepts, principles and industry practices for a service organization and call center providing 24x7x365 support to military members and their families.
  • Military veteran or civilian experience supporting a DoD or other military organization.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and development of process/workflow automation.
  • Has deep understanding of industry practices and standards.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Business Process Analyst certification a plus.
  • ITIL4 Certification preferred.
  • JIRA and Confluence experience preferred.
  • Former Military/Veteran, Military Spouse, or Wounded Warrior preferred.
