Description
Leidos is hiring an Associate Industrial Security Coordinator within the Leidos Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) to assist the Personnel Security Team with actions related to the government background investigation process for program participants. This position leverages existing program tools and resources when required and may be required to use other resources to meet National Science Foundation direction.
This position is full-time, with flexible core work hours between 9 AM and 3 PM Mountain Time.
The anticipated pay range for this role is $28 - $29 an hour.
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

About the Antarctic Support Contract:
Leidos Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) is the prime contractor to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). Leidos supports the NSF's Office of Polar Program's Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics by aligning with their Mission and Vision Statements:
- Vision: Expanding our scientific reach in Antarctica through increased operational and logistical effectiveness.
- Mission: To provide the operational and logistical platform necessary for the U.S. to conduct world-class science in Antarctica and maintain its active and influential presence on the continent.
Leidos ASC provides science and logistics support for approximately 150 science and technical events across three geographically remote research stations; McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and South Pole Station and several deep field sites across Antarctica. Each station or field site supports world class research across multiple science disciplines. The planning and implementation of science support requirements in Antarctica is a critical part of our mission.

Primary Duties:
- Responsible for day to day ASC Personnel Security administrative activities, which include but not limited to an internal CRM and Microsoft office, with special emphasis in excel
- Collaborate with ASC support teams to include, Travel, UTMB & IT&C
- Interface with all aspects of Fingerprint process to include; creating Fingerprint Packages, coordinate with local mail room to ship out packages as required to participants and DCSA, reviewing incoming cards for completeness or releasing Fingerprints to DCSA
- Maintenance of Personnel Security Databases to track candidate progress
- Review of reports being sent to NSF
- Review and respond to inquiries received in Personnel Security Team Mailbox
- Update investigation determinations in tracking database / Notify participant, manager & HR POC
- Review Position Designation Library and update as needed for review by Senior Security Team Member
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong Documentation/writing skills
- Self-starting and engaged
- Demonstrated organization and customer service skills
- Aptitude for data management and reporting tools
- Mature and professional demeanor when working with stakeholders
- Outcome focused mindset
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be able to compare data across multiple forms and applications to ensure consistency

- Experience working in shared mailbox is a nice to have
- Experience with USAccess
