Asset Manager

The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of assets on the programme (procurement, depreciation and disposal) whilst ensuring that all regulatory reporting and policy compliance is maintained. Developing and managing asset management strategies to streamline current processes and managing the customer accounting process.

The Asset Manager will report to the Programme Manager and collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM), as well as other engineering teams. The Asset Manager will also liaise with customer stakeholders and other technical leads to ensure the successful operation of the programme.

Responsibilities

Asset Tracking

Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is accurate and up to date.

Maintain accurate records of all assets throughout their lifecycle.

Ensure all assets are tracked, inventoried, and monitored to prevent loss or mismanagement.

Update and verify asset information in the asset management system (CMDB).

Implement changes, updates, and integrations into the CMDB as necessary to reflect current equipment and software assets.

Obsolescence Management

Manage the lifecycle of assets, ensuring obsolescence risks are identified and mitigated.

Produce monthly reports on obsolescence risks and asset status.

Update the End-of-Life (EOL) status for equipment and software and communicate with relevant teams.

Codification of Equipment

Ensure all equipment is properly codified and categorised for easy tracking and reporting.

Liaise with external teams to ensure all appropriate documentation is provided.

Management of Site Deliveries

Oversee site deliveries of assets, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., IM1 form) is completed and assets are received in accordance with delivery protocols.

Ensure the correct allocation of assets to their designated locations.

Regular liaison with Quatermaster dept.

Liaison with Customer Supply Chain Team

Coordinate with the customer supply chain team to manage the flow of assets.

Ensure asset supply meets project or program requirements.

Adherence to customer policy and processes.

RAF Procurement

Oversee the procurement process for RAF (Repair and Aftermarket Fulfillment) equipment.

Serve as the engineering point of contact (POC) for Equipment Failure Reports (EFR), ensuring that issues are addressed and resolved effectively.

Software Renewals

Oversee the purchase and renewal process for software licenses.

Ensure that all software renewals are tracked and managed in line with contractual obligations and usage needs.

Liaising with Programme and Project Managers

Work closely with Program and Project Managers regarding inbound equipment, ensuring that equipment is delivered on time and according to project specifications.

Ensure that any asset-related issues are promptly communicated and resolved to avoid project delays.

GFX Reporting

Prepare and submit GFX (General Financial Reporting) as required.

Provide asset-related financial data to support decision-making.

AinU / 102 Accounting

Manage AinU (Assets in Use) and 102 accounting processes.

Ensure that assets are properly classified in the financial systems and are reconciled accordingly.

CES Documentation - Liaison with Engineers

Manage CES (Customer Equipment Specifications) documentation in collaboration with engineers.

Ensure that all specifications, documentation, and relevant data are up to date and accessible to all necessary stakeholders.
