Description

Leidos has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) team supporting the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This position acts as contact point for the Crew Health Care System (CHeCS) sustaining, resupply, and integration of flight hardware for the International Space Station (ISS) Program.

This role will provide oversight and lead the CHeCS components of the Environmental Health System (EHS) and Health Maintenance System (HMS). configuration management, hardware and safety process development, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, management of subtask travel, troubleshooting hardware/software, maintenance of hardware/software (including softgoods and accessories), and anomaly resolution. This position will be required to perform integration of the majority of HSED department disciplines, Quality, Bond, and Logistics on a weekly basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage all expectations and communication with engineering stakeholders, including organization of regular meetings with HHPC and JSC personnel to support project expectations, milestones, and delivery.
• Develop and document a detailed engineering project for human spaceflight, including overall plans, schedules, requirements, testing, and validation products.
• Organize and lead internal engineering meetings to support schedule development and maintenance, mitigate potential issues and develop client-friendly solutions in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain overall project schedules by tracking budgets, key milestones, and final engineering deliverables.
• Support proposal development including task/milestone definition and detailed cost/schedule estimates.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental plan and Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures.
• Participate in ISO/AS9100 Audits.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Project Management, or Science discipline, and 5+ years of project management experience
• Experience working on spaceflight projects of various sizes from start to finish
• Experience in organization of technical reviews for life cycle milestones
• Experience in a customer-interfacing role
• Experience and understanding of configuration management for documentation and hardware/software
• Experience leading negotiations with subcontract/vendors and completing procurement
• Cost account management experience and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting NASA Programs
• Experience with Flight Hardware Development processes as outlined in SA-WI-014 and/or EA-WI-023
• Experience in Human Systems Engineering, such as human factors and designing for the product end-user

• Proficiency in MS Project

US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
