Leidos Digital Modernization team is looking for a skilled Active Directory (AD) & Windows Administrator in support of the AFINC II contract for the highly visible 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Montgomery, AL; which provides a world-wide support mission. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network. To be successful as the AD & Windows Administrator, you will have proficient understanding and troubleshooting of the Windows family of operating systems to include four (4) of the following nine (9) core competencies: AD, DHCP, FTP, PowerShell, Microsoft Exchange, MECM/SCCM, Win OS, DNS, and disaster recovery/business continuity. You should also have advanced knowledge of Windows OS commands, Microsoft PowerShell, software upgrades, and network routing and bridging protocols.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret to start. There are two certifications required to start. See under certification requirements.
What will you do in this role?
- Plan and expand the enterprise systems infrastructure
- Act as technical resource and mentor for junior staff on the Windows team
- Lead a project to analyze, define a plan, and execute the "cleanup" of multiple client Organization Units on the Active Directory
- Discuss with a team in defining technology strategy, standards, best practices for the Windows Server environment
- Develop and maintain a consistent, flexible, and reliable server environment
- Re-design, implement, and support the Microsoft Exchange environment
- Manage virtual desktop infrastructure and endpoints managed by VMWare
- Support IT service delivery to business units 24X7
- Troubleshoot IIS/Web Server
- Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, re-imaging, PXE boot, BitLocker management and other local area system administration related functions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems, Science/Engineering/Math, and 4+ years' relevant experience in Active Directory & Windows system administration. May substitute relevant experience in Information Technology in lieu of degree.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate attention to detail
- Self-driven, able to juggle many tasks under tight deadlines, and be comfortable bringing ideas to the table
- Knowledge in Active Directory design and administration and support of infrastructure
- Knowledge in troubleshooting DNS and general email routing problems and irregularities
- Understand DNS (Internal and External) Management including MX and SPF records
- Good documentation, teamwork, and communication skills
- Advanced experience supporting Windows operating systems deploying enterprise-wide applications
- Certifications: There are two required certifications for this position, of which two are required to start on the contract and one that must be earned within 90 days of start.
- Requires DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification to begin on contract.
- Requires one of the following begin on contract:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Server Admin)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Preferred Certification: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
