This position is responsible for increasing sales and profit by growing key, targeted professional customers within an assigned territory for the Lowe’s Business Unit. The position will service and grow existing customers; develop and implement business plans, oversee program implementation and develop customer relationships to expand product offerings. The Sales Representative will also be responsible to grow the business through prospecting new customers, presenting sales opportunities, product training and CRM utilization.

1. Drive top line sales growth of SW branded paint, stain and associated products by developing business relationships with target professional customers (70-80% of time spent)

  • Develop and nurture business relationships with Key, Opportunity, New, Existing and Prospect accounts
  • Cultivate leads, qualify prospects, schedule and perform outside sales calls with customers both in-store and on-site
  • Engaging in value added business meetings with Key Decision Makers (Pro Desk employees, Store Manager, Paint Department Supervisor, etc) at each store visit
  • Effectively implement and leverage Sales Excellence initiatives including 7-step Sales Cycle, relevant customer dashboards and CRM lead programs 
  • Enter all sales call information into internal sales call reporting application (Salesforce)
  • Develop & implement a successful business plan
  • Review, interpret and analyze financial reports

 

2. Store service & training (20-30% of time spent)

  • Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip and color card stock.
  • Ordering inventory of collateral to ensure inventory is stocked.
  • Monitor in-store inventory, maintaining a satisfactory stock levels
  • Conduct product and program knowledge training with Lowes associates to increase recognition and awareness 

FORMAL EDUCATION: 

Required: 

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • At least 3 years sales/marketing/customer service experience

Preferred:

  • Previous experience selling through Big-box and/or home improvement channel
  • Previous experience selling to professional customer/end user
  • Previous experience selling paint, home improvement/decor, building products 

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  •  Must have the ability to learn to operate the in store tinting machines
  •  Must be able to operate an iphone & computer

Preferred:

  • Previous paint/coatings experience

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 50% or more
