Vice President, Payor Solutions (National Accounts)
As Vice President of Payor Solutions (National Accounts) at Labcorp, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic partnerships with major Health Plans, managing both business development and day-to-day contract performance. This high-impact role is key to optimizing value, efficiency, and customer satisfaction by building strong relationships, introducing innovative solutions, and enhancing contract outcomes. You'll lead regional initiatives, aligning Labcorp teams with partner priorities, while serving as the crucial liaison between Labcorp leadership and the Payor, ensuring seamless communication and driving shared success.

- Maintains a thorough understanding of the healthcare market, national and regional trends, along with the designated Payor strategies, competitive positioning and business performance, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, hospitals, health plan and laboratory competition, and employer health plan changes
- Possesses outstanding sales and negotiation abilities, business acumen, strategy development and execution, analytic, communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Develops a strategic vision, considering Payor priorities, market share, emerging trends, competitive changes, policy and regulatory changes, and Labcorp's strategy, all supported by insightful financial analysis.
- Develops client-specific and engaging presentations and communications. Create and present executive level summaries and business cases to Labcorp leadership.
- Creates and implements a business plan for the Payor at a national and regional level supporting the strategic vision. Develop strategies and tactics to optimize Payor operational and financial performance.
- Develops management dashboards and tools to understand and identify trends/opportunities to improve operational and contract performance. Uses these dashboards and analytic skills to explain variances and set operational priorities, ensuring customer satisfaction and improved contract performance.
- Maintains process to understand evolving market-specific conditions that could or do affect the performance of our Payor contract performance. Share insights with Divisional leadership to support understanding of these market conditions and how they may influence Divisional performance.
- Develops and maintains summaries of all Payor contract documents to support informed customer management and contract negotiations.
- Manages the Payor contract performance, resulting in improvements in payor policies, efficient and effective resolution of claim projects, responsive actions to resolve service issues that drive customer satisfaction.
- Develops and enhances broad Payor customer relationships across multiple departments. Secures Payor customer commitments to a regular cadence of Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings attended by a diverse cross section of Payor contacts.
- Leverages key Payor customer relationships to secure opportunities to present additional Labcorp solutions to support their enterprise priorities.
- Has a thorough understanding of various Value Based Care trends and financial models specific to Commercial, Managed Medicare and Managed Medicaid populations.
- Leverages Labcorp resources to assure superior execution of the Payor strategic vision and day-to-day support of their contract.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of progressive leadership in strategic management of healthcare pricing, managed care contracting, and client relationship management, with lab and healthcare industry experience.
- Demonstrated track record of leading complex contract negotiations in support of fee for service, risk-based, and alternative payment model strategies.
- Demonstrated success in leading, implementing, and managing financial performance of payor contracts.
- 5 years' experience in a People Leader role
Preferred Qualifications
- Health Plan experience and/or experience at a large laboratory or other healthcare provider in a large Payor customer management role

Working Conditions
- Position can work from home or if a Labcorp office is within a reasonable distance an office can be provided.
- Travel up to 25%

Pay Range: $215,000-$300,000 base salary + bonus and equity
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
