The Supply Chain Associate will perform a variety of activities relating to inventory control, Greenfield site logistics, material or specimen shipping (domestic & international) and centralized receiving as assigned by Supervisor to meet company standards of quality, customer service, safety and productivity. This position must be able to perform any departmental function and exercise judgement in performing daily duties including problem identification and resolution. Supply Chain supports all Greenfield site business units including leased space.

Working Conditions:
- Consistent exposure to temperature, dust, noise, and the like.
- Requires working with frequent interruptions and changes.

- May involve some overtime and weekend hours as needed
- Associate will be exposed to hazardous materials such as dry ice and controlled radiation testing materials
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains responsibility for warehouse pick rates, pick errors and accuracy
- Maintains all product returns, cancelled orders and ensures items are returned to stock in a timely manner
- Ensures complete physical cycle count of assigned areas quarterly
- Accountable for accurate inventory data, proper transactional timing (i.e., receipts and usage data is processed each day.), and report inventory variances to management
- Assists in maintaining an inventory rotation and first in first out procedure
- Prioritizes daily tasks and special projects within inventory scope as directed by manager
- Assists in the development, maintenance and update of departmental procedures and departmental training files as needed
- Optimizes organization of the assigned inventory area and controls to ensure accurate inventory is maintained
- Assists all internal customers with help in answering any questions pertaining to stock items
- Ability to expedite transportation arrangements for deliveries and/ or pick-ups
- Adheres to establishes SOPs and Universal Precaution guidelines at all times
- Ability to requisition needed stock items
- Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse area. Complies with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Assists in all necessary steps pertaining to freight claims, damaged shipments and return item authorizations as applicable to inventory stock
- Maintains documentation for determining maximum and minimum stocking levels and order amounts.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Minimum Education and experience, required
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Three (3) years of continuous work history with previous receiving and
- customer service experience within a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Verifiable past training and experience of operating forklifts, order pickers and pallet jacks skillfully and safely.
- Valid driver's license
- Warehouse/inventory experience
- Forklift/electric pallet jack experience
- Shipping experience
- The ability to drive a box truck on campus daily. (no CDL required) its roughly similar to a large U-Haul truck
- Associate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Personal computer skills are required with some experience in spreadsheet development.
- Must be able to lift seventy- (70) pounds routinely.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience using Bar Code/ Inventory Control Tracking equipment.
- IATA / DOT certification
