Study Tech Animal Operations
Denver, PA
$22.00 per hour

What will you be doing?
Your work will contribute to improving the lives and wellness of both people and animals around the world. In this position you will be conducting Animal Research studies that will be looking at the safety, effectiveness and toxicity of drugs that are in early development phase and/or chemical substances. You'll be maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC). In this position you'll be performing animal husbandry duties for research animals as well as dosing techniques, may perform bleeding techniques, may collect biological samples, basic measurements such as body weight, food consumption, body temperature, blood pressure, etc. This position will be working primarily with rodents and may be crossed trained to with other animals. In this position your work will play a key role in bringing new scientific discoveries to life and make a difference in the lives of millions!

What do we look for in our new hires?
• Strong commitment to providing excellent care to all animals!
• A passion for research and science
• Ability to follow Research Study procedures and document findings
• Good time management skills
• Prior Animal Research experience is great but not required,
• Candidates that can begin working full time hours in the next 3-6 weeks.

What do we provide?
• Day time work hours, usually 6:30am- 3:00pm Monday-Friday along with working every 3rd weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and some holidays.

Education/Qualifications/Experience
• Associate's degree in veterinary technology or related program OR Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Biology, Wildlife Studies, or related life science field OR 2+ years of college in related Sciences field AND 1-2 years of hands on large or small animal care in laboratory/research or farming operation.
• AALAS Certification is preferred but not required-we can help you obtain this!
• Prior animal handling experience highly preferred.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
