The Software Quality Assurance Analyst I plays a crucial role in designing, implementing and overseeing testing solutions. Applies testing solutions concepts across various technology platforms (web-based, client-server, service oriented, mainframe, etc. for use in the Health Care Industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain test plans, cases, test data and summary artifacts as well as execute testing scenarios for verification
  • Provide work estimates on testing activities, report on quality statistics, metrics, recording and monitoring issues until resolution
  • Ability to identify, plan and execute testing activities to ensure high quality software and ensure compliance according to regulatory statues, policies and procedures
  • Requires testing of various development technologies such as web applications, desktop applications such as VB or .Net, API/web services or legacy/mainframe systems
  • Ability to utilize middleware components such as IBM's messaging queues or interfaces to perform validation of an application
  • Perform testing using different testing methodologies such as Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile.
  • Ability to follow established processes, SOPs and testing methods throughout the software lifecycle while continuously driving quality into the overall work process.
  • Collaborate with various IT entities such as the Business Analysts, Development, Support, Project Management, etc. as dictated by the task or project deliverable.
  • Create and/or review test plans or test summary documentation outlining the test approach and test outcomes of the test execution.
  • Create test cases and scenarios to perform the appropriate test validation based on the defined requirements documents.
  • Provide testing updates and metrics based on the test execution process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in a technical, business, or clinical discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering or related field)
  • 0-2 years' experience working in a professional business environment
  • Software Tools: Familiarity with software management tools such as JIRA/Zephyr, Confluence, ALM, Microsoft product suite
  • Technical familiarity with software languages such as Java, Angular, AWS Cloud technologies, backend database systems (Oracle, SQL server), Big data platforms (HANA, etc.)
