Senior Key Account Executive

Recognized as one of Forbes 2024 "America's Best Large Employers" and named to the Forbes 2024 "Best Employers for Diversity", Labcorp is seeking to hire a Senior Key Account Executive to help identify and shape opportunities for Labcorp Diagnostics continued growth.

As a Senior Key Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a large existing book of business while also introducing focused specialty products, analytical platforms and workflow efficiencies to your clients. Striving for strong customer service with increased growth from this book of business.

The territory for this position will cover the Chattanooga, TN market. It will require mostly day travel with little overnight travel. The primary focus will be healthcare providers to service existing business and promote laboratory testing to help improve patient health and outcomes.

We are seeking a competitive and collaborative individual with a high degree of communication and business acumen skills who enjoys growing and working with a high-performing team across a wide variety of high-growth areas.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Educates, instructs and upsells all assigned and newly generated accounts in an assigned territory
  • Acts as a liaison between the client and the LabCorp operations team in relation to client needs
  • Provides ongoing service and problem resolution to customer base
  • Ensures customer retention by providing superior customer service
  • Recommends solutions that are client focused and persuasive
  • Provides account management for client's day to day operations
  • Upsells current book of business to increase organic growth
  • Works closely with senior sales representatives to grow book of business
  • Continuously provides educational material to the client base
  • Resolves any customer related issues in a timely manner
  • Meets and exceeds monthly retention and upsell revenue quota

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience in an Account Management, Client Success role or client facing.
  • Experience in a healthcare background
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel to cover assigned geographic area.
  • Must live in the Chattanooga, TN area or surrounding cities
  • Persuasive verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced, competitive market
  • Self- motivated
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven success managing a book of business
  • Proven success in upselling & client renewals.
  • At least 1 year of clinical operations experience - including an understanding of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), understanding physician office workflow and service expectation
