The Labcorp Public Cloud Engineering team is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing data storage solutions, implementing data processing workflows, and ensuring seamless data integration. Your work will empower data-driven decision-making within the organization by enabling efficient and effective data management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and manage data solutions using Azure services.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines to facilitate seamless data flow.
  • Optimize data storage solutions for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement data processing workflows to transform and analyze data.

Data Integration:

  • Integrate data from various sources (both on-premises and cloud-based) into Azure.
  • Build robust data pipelines for data transformation and ingestion.
  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability.

Infrastructure Automation:

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Streamline development and deployment processes in Azure.
  • Manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Azure applications.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices to safeguard Azure environments and data.
  • Stay informed about compliance standards relevant to Azure.
  • Ensure data privacy and protection.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with relevant Azure experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cloud computing and practical experience working with cloud-based services.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services, particularly in the context of landing zones, encompassing computing, storage, networking, security, databases, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, and C# for automation and Azure solution development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, and adeptness in implementing modern cloud solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security practices and compliance standards relevant to Azure.
  • Subject matter expertise in constructing Azure landing zones, coupled with a background in designing cloud infrastructure and providing assistance in migrating application workloads to the cloud.

Preferred: Current or previous Labcorp experience preferred

Application window: March 1-April 15

Pay Range: 117,000-150,000

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
