- Willingness to learn new techniques related to the use of a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy platform in a diagnostic laboratory setting
- Proficiency with analytical software packages such as Excel
- Strong documentation, organization, attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Experience using literature/search engines/databases for data analysis/interpretation
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated to work under minimal to moderate supervision in a dynamic, collaborative environment; ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Some academic or industry research experience with NMR is a plus
- Some familiarity or experience with analytical validation studies
Essential Responsibilities:
- Process samples on NMR instruments for collaborative clinical research studies and analytical validations in the R&D Lab setting
- Perform calculations and graphics in Excel and other software applications for new NMR assay development
- Draft reports for supervisory review
- Perform routine tasks competently and work on problems of moderate to complex scope with supervision
- Acquire new experimental techniques with minimal training
- Take direction/coaching on new assignments and suggest relevant experiments to supervisor
- Work in cross functional teams
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive laboratory notebook
- Draft reports and give presentations to colleagues and greater scientific community
- Produce data sufficient to be included in potential patent or peer-reviewed publication
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with a minimum of 2 years lab experience OR
- Master of Science degree with a minimum of 1-year relevant lab experience OR
- Certified Medical Technologist degree
Pay Range: $65k-$85k (USD)
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
