LabCorp is currently seeking a Project Specialist to join our DNA-HLA team located in Burlington, NC! The ideal candidate will be one who can take initiative, has strong communication and computer skills, assists with project implementation of the HLA department and experience within a clinical laboratory.
Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the initiation process for new clinical trial opportunities, collaborating closely with sales, lab operations, IT, and technical directors to gather comprehensive information before commitments, pricing, or turnaround times are established.
- Coordinate and maintain regular communication with LabCorp ELMS or ESS teams, Sales, IT, Finance, and DNA ID lab operations to facilitate the setup of new studies and prepare for initial sample receipt upon study award.
- Manage and organize all clinical trial-related documentation, ensuring proper storage and easy accessibility.
- Provide operational support to sample receiving and lab operations teams, including acting as a liaison to resolve any issues that arise.
- Assist in the daily management of ongoing clinical trials, ensuring smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
- Minimum 3 years of applicable experience, to include clinical laboratory testing
- Previous experience in DNA or Genomics clinical testing preferred
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant requirements preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
- High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
