Labcorp is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to execute all aspects of our payroll functions. This role involves handling payroll entries, processing weekly payrolls, managing on-demand check requests, and conducting audits to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Payroll Weekly Runs:
- Process weekly payrolls accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle payroll entries and adjustments, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Process on-demand check requests as needed.

- Process EIB's, ensuring proper balancing.
- Review and enter pay items accurately into the payroll system.
- Run and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to verify accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to inquiries and tasks related to HR Central, providing support and resolving issues as needed.
- Maintain and update payroll-related documentation and records.
- Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3+ years of proven payroll experience preferred.
- Great Excel skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Systems experience, preferably Workday & ADP SmartCompliance.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Due to the nature of this position, candidates must reside on Eastern or Central time zones.
- Candidates close to Burlington, NC office preferred.
- This position requires a hybrid onsite schedule for those within 35 miles of the Burlington office. Otherwise, this position can be remote.
EDUCATION
- Payroll or Accounting Qualification is preferred but not required.
- Degree is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $15-24 hourly
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
