Pay Range: $70,000 - $103,709

Labcorp is seeking a Logistics Routing Analyst. In this exciting role, you perform analysis and support implementation of systemic ground logistics route optimizations using the Descartes system, local branch operational knowledge and any special client requirements to create efficient routing that also supports a healthy specimen flow into our branch operations. You measure proposed systemic outputs using analytical software vs current routing plans that will impact branch logistics cost averaging $400K annually. You continually engage with the Divisions that will involve ongoing analysis of routing, acquisition integration planning and/or special projects as assigned.

Your role centers around making recommendations to Local Management.

This role reports to the Logistics Technology Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learns and possesses deep knowledge of the Descartes routing system to effectively utilize the system.
  • Analyzes large data sets utilizing the Descartes routing system that takes into consideration local operational knowledge of any special client requirements.
  • Measures and presents the proposed outputs to Local and Corporate Leadership.
  • Helps design, updates, and distributes logistics trainings and SOPs related to the usage of the Descartes system.
  • Identifies and shares best practices to manager.
  • Interacts with other departments within Supply Chain Operations. This includes Fleet, Pre/Peri Analytics, Data Analytics, Client Contact center and Phlebotomy when appropriate involved in supporting Special Projects related to the movement of samples.
  • Domestic travel 25 - 30%

Qualifications, required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years in logistics, supply chain operations or related field
  • Hands-on experience using logistics routing software, i.e., Omnitracs (Roadnet), Descartes, or similar software
  • Experience using data analytic software
  • Basic MS Excel and Power point

Qualifications, preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Power point

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Acumen: Proven ability to learn and fully utilize the routing software to create routing solutions that meet business needs as well as route efficiency. This will involve analysis using large sets of data, collaboration with the local branch management, Regional Operations Managers, Regional VPs, and Senior Corporate Supply Chain Leadership. Presenting the data and outputs in a manner that is easy to understand and measurable is key.

Problem Solving: Utilizing large sets of data with many variables to balance efficiency and volume delivery to the branches. The options to analyze and determine the best solution are numerous, therefore critical thinking and judgement will be critical to shaping an optimal solution.

Decision Making: Taking many different inputs such as local narrative of the client base, perceived special requirements, the actual data being captured in the routing system to create and determine the recommended best course of action. You will have oversight of the proposed solutions but will need work autonomously to create the solutions prior to review and editing.

Personal Interactions: Daily, Weekly, Monthly verbal and written communication with management (local, divisional, corporate). Levels of Management will include Logistics Supervisors, Branch Managers, Regional Operational Managers, Regional VP, Corporate Supply Chain VP's and SVP. Interactions with other Corporate Supply Chain Operational teams.

Interpersonal: Proven written and verbal person communication with all levels of the organization up to the SVP of Supply chain. Proven ability to compose and present PowerPoint presentations. Proven ability to summarizes complex information into more basic outlines for the front-line audience.
