LabCorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role works in a high volume, production-based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.
Schedule: 3rd shift, Monday - Friday, 1:00 AM - 9: 30 AM, with required overtime as business needs
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Process culture and other samples according to SOP.
- Clean work areas, dispose of samples and locate all samples needed for testing
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma
- Previous experience is not required but given priority
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Able to work with urine, sputum, stool and body fluid
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
