IT Field Technician

Labcorp is hiring an IT Field Technician. This person will travel daily to customer sites to provide support. This person should have a solid technical background troubleshooting hardware and software.

  • Travel to customer sites to provide IT support for hardware and software on a daily basis
  • Install and service various IT equipment within assigned territory
  • Maintain accurate daily activity report, expense reports and mileage logs
  • Manage support requests through a computerized system
  • Respond to all customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Follow up on any outstanding items and provide updates as necessary
  • Triage and report client issues to the appropriate department
  • Assisting with the training of new employees
  • Train clients on use of Labcorp computerized system
  • Comply with all safety procedures and protocol
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of technical experience
  • IT Certifications preferred; A+ or Network+
  • Prior experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Clean driving record and ability to maintain a driver's license required

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
