Labcorp is seeking an Executive Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. The ED of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and performance of our IT organization. This executive will lead a team of financial analysts/managers and collaborate directly with the CIO and his senior leadership to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting for corporate functions. This position will oversee and direct the financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting support, long-term planning, problem solving, financial modeling and business analysis of performance metrics. This position also partners with the Business Unit/Segment Leaders to develop business strategy and acts as a financial business partner and advisor by identifying value levers and shepherding team to pull those levers.

FINANCE LEADERSHIP, ANALYTICS, AND PARTNERSHIP
• Partners with CIO to review, develop and implement a solid financial planning strategy.
• Oversee, lead and present monthly and quarterly financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting of more than $700M in activities for IT.
Develop analytics that drive value, reduce costs, increase productivity, growth, and business profitability
Ensures consolidated financial performance information is accurate and timely.
• Understands and challenges the financial position of each business area, holding budget owners accountable for their performance and supporting the management teams in required analysis.
• Provides bridges and variance reporting (e.g. actual vs. budget, forecast and prior year) to Segment, Division and Corporate leadership.
• Leads the intervention, investigation and resolution of in-year and short-term financial issues.
• Ensures effective use of capital by utilizing appropriate governance, risk management, financial performance measurement and post-investment reviews. Approves all capital and lease requests.
• Prepares and presents relevant information for strategic planning and long-range forecasting sessions and actively participates to ensure alignment with the Company's vision and goals.
• Partners with leadership on all IT-related M&A activity and leads the development of financial proformas and synergy plans.
• Manages the integration of acquired businesses into the LabCorp suite of processes, systems, and policies.

CONTROLS AND COMPLIANCE
• Supports solid cost management behavior in the business, promoting financial disciplines and risk management processes.
• Advises the business on ways of assuming greater degrees of financial accountability.
• Ensures that Corporate and internal policies are followed.
• Supports Internal Audit engagements. Evaluates all findings, prepares action plans and ensures timely execution.
• Approves Division travel and vendor related expenses.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant financial management experience (financial modeling, analysis and reporting, forecasting and budgeting experience), preferably with a large global company within a service industry. Prior experience influencing and communicating with leadership of a global company.
• Deep experience as FP&A support for a corporation, division, segment or function within a publicly traded company.
• Ability to team effectively with executive leadership, finance leadership and operational leadership.
• Prior experience working with and supporting a global IT function.
• MBA or experience in an investment banking training program or select financial leadership development program with a corporation
• Willingness to "roll up the sleeves" in terms of problem solving and improvement actions.
• Ability to manage the complexities of multiple information systems to support decisions with analytics.
• Ability to "connect the dots" between IT operations and the downstream impacts on the business
• Experience with process efficiencies and lean organizations.
• Technically capable yet able to communicate the financial implications and alternatives as well as the presence to interact at executive management levels.
• Fully conversant in financial statements, accounting theory and practice.
• Highly competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with high end financial reporting systems such as PeopleSoft Financials

• High energy, inspirational leadership skills with exceptional communication and team building ability
• Strong commitment to building a winning culture and team environment.
• Ability to quickly display credibility and build support for necessary initiatives within the team, their business, and across other related organizations or divisions.
• Highly analytical decision maker leveraging contextual judgement & creativity.
• Ability to make decisions without all the information. Comfortable with ambiguity.
• Flexibility in working hours and available for business travel.
