As a Building Automation Engineering Specialist, you'll play a key role in manage facility infrastructure to ensure reliability and redundancies to meet business requirements, duties include but not limited to
- Develop and maintain comprehensive plans to manage capacity and capital replacement requirements
- Develop strategies to ensure efficient use of resources (e.g., utilities, staff, energy), includes managing Facility Preventative Maintenance Program (updating and/or modifying as required).
- Develop, implement and maintain departmental and company SOP's and P&P's.
- Maintain technical documentation for Facility Management Department as assigned.
- Manage building management/monitoring system (JCI Metasys). Review alarms and identify action plans to address root cause for operational excursions.
- Manage outsourced service contractors supporting facility infrastructure (PM's and repairs).
- Provide assistance in trouble shooting facility systems (e.g., electrical, HVAC, high purity water).
- Train less experienced staff on skills improvement regarding building systems.
- Oversee installation of building systems.
- Provide monthly reporting on productivity, projects, and capital improvements.
- Provide management functions for assigned projects:
- Oversee development of project work scopes, schedules and budgets.
- Manage bidding process and contractor work execution,
- Develop Capital Expenditure Requests (CER's) for assigned projects.
- Develop, implement and maintain construction project commissioning standards.
- Provide monthly reporting on productivity, projects, and capital improvements.
- May administer software that is in direct support of assigned systems.
- Utilize computer programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, project specific websites, Access and CAD).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- This position requires working onsite at our Indianapolis, Indiana location

Education/Experience/Qualifications
- HS Diploma required, preferred trade school in HVAC or Mechanical Operations training, experience may use in lieu of education
- Highly prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, etc.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- 2+ years of successful management of multiple concurrent building maintenance/automation projects.
- Knowledge of federal, state and community regulations regarding construction.
