Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Problem Resolution Specialist to join our team in Portland, OR. This position will investigate and drive solutions so specimen issues can be addressed accurately and efficiently. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. Weekend coverage as needed

Job Responsibilities
- Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
- Resolve internal & external customer requests and perform problem resolution/lost specimen tracking via calls, instant messenger & email communications.
- Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.
- Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
- Provide customer education and information as needed.
- Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
- Accurately identify and label specimens.
- Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
- Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience in a specimen processing role is preferred
- Experience working in a contact center/call center environment is preferred
- Prior healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or a hospital is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
- Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
- Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent multitasking abilities required
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
