The Bioinformatics Scientist, with limited guidance from more experienced scientists, works both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects that range from moderate to complex in scope. This role involves active participation in project planning and analyses, often serving as the bioinformatics lead responsible for the successful execution of projects. The Bioinformatics Scientist independently makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results. In a team setting, the Bioinformatics Scientist will primarily engage in Research and Development projects, acting as a technical lead in translating research ideas and concepts into the product development pipeline for diagnostic assay products. Additionally, the Bioinformatics Scientist will support and improve bioinformatics pipelines for production.
