Accessioning Team Lead

PAML a LabCorp Company is seeking a Accessioning Team Leader to join our team. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Pay Range: $21.79 to 39.00 Hourly + Shift 2 Differential

Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm overtime and rotating weekends may be required

Location: 1037 Thomas Ave SW, Renton, WA 98057

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the day to day operations of the accessioning department
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary including competency assessments as required
  • Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures including learning and training support
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
  • Encourage process improvements and best practices
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Research and resolve any production or workflow errors while escalating when necessary
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree is a plus
  • 3 years of relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratory
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
  • Flexibly with schedule adjustments, when needed
  • Must be 21 years of age, reliable transportation, and clean driving record if applicable
