Job Description

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement and support database backup and recovery policies using RMAN.
  • Perform database restoration and recovery in the event of a failure.
  • Supports of Oracle, MYSQL, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase Database
  • Production environments on Unix, Windows and Linux OS.
  • Performing Database Administration tasks independently in Oracle, MYSQL, MSSQL, DB2
  • Db Upgrade.
  • upgrades, migrations and cloning.
  • backup, restore & recovery using Datapump or RMAN.
  • Installation and troubleshooting in RAC and Grid.
  • Lifecycle Management - Database creation, setup & decommissioning.
  • Event/alert monitoring, space management, user management.
  • Database monitoring.
  • Replication via Goldengate and Data Guard.
  • Need to participate in client meetings.
  • Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.
  • Installation of Oracle and MYSQL ,Applications and break fixing of H/W and S/W issues .
  • Working on Service Desk tickets.
  • Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.
  • Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.
  • Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.
  • Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings
  • Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • A minimum of 6-7 years of overall experience in IT Database Domain with proven experience in Database Operations.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • experience with Aix, Solaris and Linux (RHEL).
  • Adoptive for 24x7 Shift Support.
  • Excellent spoken and written English Communication.
  • Good attitude towards corporate environment.
  • Hands on experience in Operations and Support of Oracle RDBMS 11g,12c and 19C.
  • To provide 24x7 Support.
  • Database server administration (Oracle, MYSQL, MSSQL, DB2) and team management.
  • Good communication skills,

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • BE/ BTech/MCA/Diploma.
