Kyndryl Container Consulting team have deep knowledge and extensive experience in delivering Enterprise Container Management (ECM) solutions to enterprise customers. SUSE Rancher Technical Consultants are our subject matter experts to ensure we provide world class consulting services to our customers.

A SUSE Rancher Technical Engineer will solve customer's business challenges through hands-on technical implementation with recommended best practices. You'll need to have a balance of solid technical experience, knowledge of open-source technologies and solutions, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level.

A Technical Consultant's technical skills and capabilities need to be balanced with very strong inter-personal skills, be able to work closely with our customers and become their trusted advisor.

Who You Are

- Guide customer in building scalable and optimal solutions using SUSE Rancher ECM products with best practices.
- Successful, collaborative delivery of customer projects as a technical lead.
- Assist to troubleshoot and provide resolution or workaround to customer's technical issues during project engagements.
- Evaluate unique and complex deployments and make recommendations for optimisation.
- Ability to work in customer's environment and may at times be required to work outside of standard business hours.
- Ability to handle tense/stressful situations regarding service outages and issue resolution.
- Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies.
- Active engagement and knowledge sharing with our internal and external communities on lessons learned, best practices, and how-to's.
- Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with shifting priorities and timelines.
- Creation of SOP's, POC's and automation to move quickly to IaC.

Required Skills and Experience:

4+ years experience.

- A strong combination of technical and customer-facing skills.
- Knowledge of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud solutions.
- Proven experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes, in particular Rancher.
- Proven experience with cloud management and IT automation solutions.
- Competent comprehension of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers.
- Experience deploying and managing Rancher/Kubernetes clusters at scale.
- Develop scripts for system automation, and automation of manual tasks including using Ansible.
- Deploy Rancher Kubernetes in on-prem and public cloud environments.
- Be part of a team that will work providing level 2/3 support for Rancher Non-Prod and Prod Support.
- CKA, CKAD, or CKS certifications an advantage.
- Other relevant industry qualification is a plus.
- Working variable shift timings.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.-
- Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience in relevant technologies and customer environments.
- Extensive experience in high-tech or software company.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Kafka skills.
- Experience in adopting Service Mesh (e.g. Istio) and/or API gateways on Kubernetes.
- Experience in managing Container security with tools such as NeuVector, Aqua, Sysdig, Prisma Cloud etc.
- Experience working in a DevOps environment.
- Experience developing application deployment workflows (CI/CD) pipelines with Kubernetes.
