The Role

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to assess the company's financial performance. You will prepare and present detailed financial reports, executive summaries, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. By analyzing and interpreting complex financial data, you will identify key insights and trends that impact business performance. Additionally, you will develop and maintain financial models, metrics, and KPIs to evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives.

In the area of budgeting and forecasting, you will collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. You will monitor budget performance, identify areas of concern or improvement, and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Providing guidance and support in the preparation of departmental budgets, you will ensure accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.

Your role will also involve strategic planning and decision support, where you will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, assess profitability, and make data-driven recommendations. You will conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential business capital projects to evaluate their financial viability and risks. Assisting in developing financial models and business cases, you will support strategic decision-making.

Furthermore, you will identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity. By streamlining financial reporting and analysis procedures, you will ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information. Collaborating with IT and finance teams, you will leverage technology and tools for process automation and data visualization.

Lastly, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies and procedures. You will assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role in financial analysis and planning.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software) and ERP systems.
  • Experience with SAP enterprise projects is considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and analyze complex business operations and financial drivers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
