Are you ready to take on the cyber threats of tomorrow? As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial operational role, responsible for the build, deployment, and support of SIEM, Vulnerability, and AV/EDR services for our Managed Hosting, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud solutions. You will work with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in services and resolve complex challenges in customer infrastructure. Your role will involve diagnosing and documenting customer implementations to a high standard, enabling timely resolution for any service issues or SIEM alerts within agreed Service Level Agreements.

You will ensure that the complexities of customer infrastructure are understood and provide support to enhance stability and service. This includes developing new services, making fundamental changes to the SIEM infrastructure, and defining new standards using agreed business processes and best practices. You will significantly contribute to, review, and approve new product and service releases while working with stakeholders to enhance existing services. Additionally, you will support colleagues in escalations and sales opportunities, driving internal service improvement processes and initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Supporting Complex Networks and Hosting Estates:

    • Managing SIEMs (Qradar preferred; also ArcSight, AlienVault, LogRhythm).
    • Vulnerability Management Technologies (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7).
    • MDR Technologies (e.g., TrendMicro, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike).
    • IDS/IPS Technologies (e.g., Cisco IDS, FirePOWER, FireSIGHT, Symantec HIDS, Carbon Black).
    • Network Analysis Tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetworkMiner).
    • Enterprise-Level Operating Systems (e.g., Windows Server, RedHat Linux).
  • Coding and Scripting Skills (Proficiency in Bash, SQL, regex, and Python)
  • Security Expertise -Extensive knowledge of cyber-attack types, methods, and underlying network protocols.
  • Incident Management - Experience in escalating incidents and driving resolutions with technology vendors and stakeholders.
  • Educational Background -Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, or Computer Forensics (or equivalent industry experience).
  • ITIL Knowledge - Good understanding of ITIL principles and their application.
  • Ability to achieve SC & NPPV3 Clearances.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in Security Incident Handling & Security Incident Response (minimum of 5 years).
  • Experience in ruling and tuning Enterprise-level SIEM tools.
  • Extensive Operations experience (minimum of 3+ years).
  • Professional Industry Recognised Certifications (e.g., SANS, CEH, RHCE, CISSP, CISM) or equivalent experience.
