The Role
Core Enterprise and zCloud is one of our 6 practices in Kyndryl and as part of the ongoing transformation we are looking for a leader with a strong change leader mindset and prior experience leading and driving go to market and of building and developing a consult organization.
In this role you will be a core member of the Germany Country Leadership team and the Global Core Enterprise and zCloud senior leadership team responsible to develop, accelerate and lead the Country for Core Enterprise and zCloud practice. Kyndryl have a market leading position providing Mainframe managed services globally, with the largest and mainframe and i-series infrastructure management team in the world.

As the leader of the Core Enterprise and zCloud team in Germany, you will lead, develop, and accelerate the team. You will work closely with the Country leadership, account teams, delivery teams, cross-practice teams, and the global Core Enterprise and zCloud leadership team. Responsibilities include achieving the practice's Country business and financial goals, long-term strategic planning, leading Go to Market and growth initiatives, and acting as the external thought leader for the practice with customers, media, press, and analysts. The role involves executing the practice's policies, allocating resources, and making decisions regarding practice growth and diversification to achieve the organization's vision. Strong external engagement, leading from the front with customers and the team in the field, is necessary.
You will be a customer advocate, accountable for building market presence, strategy, and a compelling portfolio of services.
Fostering strong relationships with C-suite customers, gaining industry perspectives, and insights into desired solution-oriented customer outcomes is crucial. As the established leader in mainframe managed services, this role leverages knowledge and experience in go-to-market strategies, mainframe operations, account management, mainframe technology, and mainframe modernization.
As a Practice Group Leader Core Enterprise & zCloud your responsibilities will encompass:
- Acting as a thought leader in the market, serving as the spokesperson with customers, analysts, and media.
- Leading sales and growth by leveraging our strong market-leading eminence to drive expansion, including winning new customer business and securing incremental work with existing customers.
- Working proactively with every mainframe account in Germany to help develop strategic roadmaps for each account, initiating and conducting mainframe modernization workshops, and assisting in winning and growing new customers.
- Creating a cadre of experts to own the various Core Enterprise and zCloud methodologies, including mainframe modernization.
- Performing mainframe modernization workshops.
- Executing mainframe modernizations at scale.
- Executing T&T for new logo mainframe customers.
- Owning the German instance of our key partner relationships for the mainframe platform: technology partners, services partners like TMaxSoft, Microfocus, EY, etc. and Hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, and Google)
- Building and leading a consulting team, as well as sales and technical teams.

Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in building, selling and developing mainframe and core Services with a proven track record in similar leadership positions
- Demonstrated success in IT Consulting or IT Management Consulting, with a strong track record in delivery, business development, and driving sales growth
- Extensive experience in mainframe modernization and translating business needs, creating strategic options, and driving the design and execution of large-scale transformations
- Ability to create effective relationships and to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels, internally and externally
- Ability to partner across business and shared services to prioritize the immediate needs today and in the future for a competitive business that reflects the new operating model
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in navigating international environments and leveraging global teams to maximize benefits in the German market
- Experience leading consulting teams
- Excellent spoken and written German and English language skills
- Experience from Selling and/or Consulting in Financial Services is a plus
