The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing middleware solutions, ensuring seamless integration between various applications and systems. As a Middleware Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of middleware technologies, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.

In this role, you'll provide the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support that forms the backbone of our applications. You'll guide functional objectives on technologies and make use of your expert knowledge to drive solutions to complex problems.

Your expertise will be crucial in influencing people outside of your department or function, and you'll have the opportunity to directly shape the technology landscape of the world we live in. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain middleware technologies to support business applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration between various applications and systems.
  • Monitor and optimize middleware performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to support the implementation of middleware solutions.
  • Develop and implement middleware governance policies and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest middleware technologies and trends to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on middleware-related topics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing middleware solutions.
  • Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, Oracle Fusion Middleware, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in middleware technologies (e.g., , Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration).
  • Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Familiarity with security best practices in middleware environments.
