The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Modernization Leader to join our team responsible for driving revenue growth within Mainframe transformation including application modernization across 51 countries.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the account teams, solutioners and alliance partners for successful joint pursuits. You will participate in complex sales effort and drive deals to closure playing customer- facing role. This is an exciting opportunity to join Kyndryl during a period of Mainframe transformation with opportunities for future career growth into architecture, CTO positions or delivery lead roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a pre-sales strategy to drive revenue growth in Mainframe Modernization area including application management
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers on Mainframe Modernization and migration to cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Leverage deep Mainframe architecture knowledge and experience to identify and prioritize opportunities for Mainframe application modernization
  • Collaborate with account teams and alliance partners to ensure maximum use of the capabilities and services we can offer
  • Build relationships with senior C-level and IT executives; create referenceable customers
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • +10 years of strong technical expertise on MF transformation, IBMi modernization and AMS (Application Management Services), architecture methodologies, in-depth knowledge of leading-edge technology solutions with industry skills to influence clients and sell Kyndryl solutions
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud platforms and their capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Mainframe eco-system incl. modernization service providers
  • Proven track record of success in creating, developing and closing pipeline to achieve signings targets in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Certification in Mainframe technology or related field
  • Experience working with strategic partnerships and managing complex sales cycles
  • Experience working in a global organization with a diverse range of customers and partners
