The Role
DBDC specialist is responsible for planning and performing installation and version upgrade of middleware product WAS on mainframe platform. In addition, he/she should understand the complexities of infrastructure design and maintenance, be able to analyze architecture and security issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• Installation and version upgrade of DB/DC systems (DB2, CICS, Websphere MQ, IMS, WAS) and related products from IBM or ISV (Omegamon, Db2 Admin tool,..)

• DB/DC systems maintenance, objects definition
• Architecture analysis and design
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Performing advanced troubleshooting
• Security issues analysis and defect prevention
• Root cause analysis
• Multi-environment knowledge of supported systems, maintaining operational documentation.
• Problem and change management
Requirements:
• Technical background - minimum 2 years of experience with WAS (installation, migration, refresh, troubleshooting, tuning)
• Capability to work independently and effectively in complex environments
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Growth mindset
Working from a dedicated room in Brno, Czech Republic (special security contractual obligation).
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of zOS (JCL, REXX)
Knowledge of Omegamon, CTG
Experience with CICS
Experience with ISV products from Broadcom and BMC

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. Who You Are
The candidate must be able to do following activities on the customer:
INCIDENT
- Participating in root cause analysis,
- Write POSTMORTEM for an incident.
RUN
- Applying Patch/fix,
- Parametrize Software WAS to improve and tune the software,
- Maintaining in operational conditions following the evolution of WAS environment,
- Certifying that the infrastructures deployed are usable and meet the defined standard,
- Participating in committees organized by IBM to follow-up Mainframe technologies, including WAS, etc. to discuss specific needs, opened unsolved tickets, etc,
- Writing various procedures and documentation (architecture diagrams, technical presentations, etc.),
- Providing technical expertise in the context of projects, in particular with the Exploitation and Production vision,
- Executing Changes (ITSM),
- Manage Requests from Business through existing catalog.
BUILD
- Optimizing and making more reliable, if necessary, the infrastructure technologies defined or implemented in order to respect the level of service,
- Auditing technical infrastructures and proposing action plans in order to respect the defined standards,
- Estimating, planning and supporting all technical or banking projects while respecting project constraints.
MONITORING
- Monitoring/controlling "Verifying and processing alerts",
- Managing and monitoring the proposed reliability and improvement actions,
- Producing and analyzing monthly KPIs for the dashboard related to WAS technology.
RESILIENCE
- Participating in customer Business Continuity Plan,
- Participating in application or technical "Rescue" tests depending on the requests (Disaster Recovery Plan),
- Planning the "Backup" and "robustness" tests of the technical infrastructures during Disaster Recovery Plan Testing.
SECURITY
- Generating certificates within the customer tools (Do it Now),
- Analyzing Qualys reports to identify and address vulnerabilities on different environments,
- Responding to business requests following an Audit of application,
- Mastering the security standards of the customer group for the environment (TLS 1.2, SHA 2 etc.).
